Over four delicious hours, your local host leads you through lively neighbourhoods, tasting Viennese coffee culture, artisanal meats, reimagined sausage classics, and international street‑food twists that reflect Vienna’s multicultural soul.  

 

You’ll sip perfectly brewed coffee, walk cobblestone streets where locals eat, and enjoy the best of Vienna’s hidden street food and market gems. Each stop tells a story — from passionate cooks putting a twist on tradition to long-time local favourites keeping it alive.

• Shared, family-style tasting of rustic dumplings and hearty sausages. 

• Balkan-style pastry and a strong espresso.

• Street food finale: a slow-roasted pork sandwich and one last farewell drink.

• A stroll through one of Vienna’s most authentic local street markets.

• Public transport tickets (metro/tram/bus). Please bring your own valid ticket or pass, as we’ll take the tram or metro at least twice during the tour.  

• Any additional food or drinks beyond the tastings listed above.  

• Tips for your host (always appreciated, never expected).

What else you need to know:

This tour takes place rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. We'll be doing a fair amount of walking at an easy pace - think 'stroll with delicious detours'  rather than a marathon. Comfortable walking shoes are essential ... unlessyou enjoy dramatic linping by stop #4. Expect to visit 5-6 different locations, including a relaxed stroll through a lively street market (perfect for people-watching and pretending your are a local food critic).

This tour runs with a minimum of 2 participants. If youve booked solo, don't worry - we'll let you know in advance if the minimum hasn't been reached, and do our best to make it work.

Please note that itineraries may occasionally change at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. If that happens, we'll always provide an equivalent (and equally delicious) alternative.

Dietary information:

This tour focuses an local and traditional meat specialities, so it is not suitable for strict vegetarians or vegans. Vegetarians are very welcome and will find some options available, though fewer thanon our dedicated vegetarian/vegan tours (currently in the works - stay tuned, herbivores).
